RELAXATION

“Look at me, look at me
I am changing, trying every way I can
I am changing, I’ll be better than I am
I’m trying to find a way to understand
But I need you, I need you, I need a hand.”

Sometimes the words just don’t seem to come out right,

Staring off into the wilderness of the night.

Driving down memory lane, wondering which way to turn…

Looking back on all the good times that you constantly yearn.

Afraid of the future, and what it may end up becoming…

Afraid to take a chance, give in to love and succumbing.

What if things turn out the same way as it did before?

What if you wake up one day with eyes red and sore?

Don’t want to make the same mistakes all over again,

Being reminded of the past when a new life is trying to begin.

The heart will ache when it remembers pain…

Trying to trust in God that things won’t be the same.

Trying to control every situation around you, mainly out of fear,

“Don’t want to be a fool ever again,” echoes in your ear.

You pray to God that He can change the thoughts going through your head,

So, step by step…you watch every thing you do, everything that’s said.

You do this on a regular- days go by, months and then even years,

And wisdom of learning how to trust again suddenly appears.

And one day when your heart has mended, and you wake up with a smile,

You’ll realize that you finally just relaxed and went the extra mile.

Relaxation comes when you put your trust in God, and not in man…

And you learn to realize that only with God does true love begin.

Trust in God for all things and He will guide your way.
